STREET (Strategy Basketball) - Strategy game for 2 players © Author HR Deml 2005
Like the indoor game of basketball, the board game STRABA is subject to rapid changes in attack and defense. For some strategy players, the rapid changes in attack and defense are unusual, but for basketball connoisseurs, it reveals the identity of the game. The fast attacking game can lead to a successful basket through long passes across the entire playing field and over other game pieces in two consecutive combinations.
Game accessories: STRABA playing field, each player has 5 pieces in the same color and a note sheet with a scribe, 1 piece in a different color than the ball and 1 dice.

Rules of the game:
1. Faceoff: The ball and thus the team that will be faceoff is drawn first and placed on the team's piece at the faceoff spot. At the start of the game, faceoff after a basket or free throw, the ball must be moved alone.

2. Team formation: Each player can choose the team formation according to his tactics. The game only starts when both players say a clearly audible "OK".

3. Movement options: a.) The team with the ball can move in a straight line without the ball without any limit and with the ball only 2 spaces in all directions to the edge of the playing field or another player.
b.) The team without the ball can only move 1 field within the 3-point circle and 2 fields outside it in all directions.
The blue basket area may not be occupied by the defending team. Players from both teams are considered a fixed obstacle and cannot be jumped over or thrown by another player.

4. Passing the ball: The player with the ball does not move. The ball can be passed in all directions in a straight line over your own and opposing players to your own player. Passing the ball is a move.

5. Ball change to the opposing team: If a player from the defense team lands on a field directly adjacent to the player in possession of the ball on his next move, the ball changes to this player (except for the blue field in the penalty area). This player then has the next move.

6. Basket shot: a.) A basket shot outside the fields of the white 3-point throwing circle is possible if a player with the ball has a clear horizontal, vertical or diagonal field line to the opponent's basket on his next turn.
b.) A player with the ball can pass to another teammate with a clear line to the basket outside the 3-point circle and the teammate throws the ball into the basket (counts as one play).

- Shooting opportunities within the opponent's yellow penalty area:

a.) A player of an attacker is already positioned in this penalty area and has a direct clear field line to the basket. The ball is passed to this player and thrown from him directly into the basket (counts as one play).
b.) The player with the ball can enter the yellow penalty area through a free line and then throw the ball into the basket via a direct free modified line with the same play.
- After a basket is shot, the team lines up in their own half of the court and a face-off takes place from any field on the basket line, but the ball must be moved alone.

7. Foul in the yellow penalty area of the defense team: If a player of the attacking team is harassed by 2 defenders on directly adjacent fields (regardless of the formation) at the moment of receiving the ball, this is a foul and is always punished with 2 penalty shots.

8. Execution of a penalty shot: The fouled player lines up with the ball on the red semicircle. All other players are tactically positioned outside the penalty area. The player then rolls the die. If he rolls one of the numbers on the line to the basket, he has scored a basket and is worth 1 point. If he rolls a number that is wrong, the ball goes out of bounds. A face-off only takes place after the second penalty shot.

9. Duration of the game: The game ends (unless otherwise agreed beforehand) when a player of League 1 (beginner): has reached 30 baskets,

League 2: (Advanced) has reached 45 baskets,

League 3: (Experts & Tournament) has reached 60 baskets.
